TYRELLS FARM, of some 70 acres and still belonging to the Bentley Estates.

One memorable occasion in the annals of Tyrells Farm was the arrival, by helicopter, of Sir David Attenborough, the famous zoologist, on one of the farm fields. It was in May 1993, and he had come to see and promote Eades Meadow which had previously been purchased and donated to the Worcester Nature Conservation Trust by Christopher Cadbury. In May 1994 the Meadow and surrounding fields of Fosters Green Farm were ceremonially designated a "National Nature Reserve" by Lord Cranbrook, Chairman of English Nature, in the presence of Christopher Cadbury and many local people. The ancient unploughed pastureland, with its profusion of wild flowers and butterflies is now a well-visited attraction.
