FOSTER'S GREEN FARM, with its picturesque black and white timbered farmhouse was, it is believed, once known as Pauncefoot Farm. Before WW1 the occupier was Mrs Butler, and between the wars the farmers were Sydney and Henry Wheelton. In the area around the farm there is a profusion of damson and other fruit trees, and it is said that many of the damsons were used, at one time, in the dyeing industry.
